Permits are required for: - Wilderness camping (Paliku or Holua campsites)
- Wilderness cabins (Kapalaoa, Holua or Paliku cabins)
- Any special use: Weddings, Memorializations, Film Permits, Special Assembly, First Amendment Activities, Athletic Events, Firearms, Collecting Resource Materials, etc.
- Any commercial use: Bus Tours, Bike Tours, Hiking Tours, Horse Tours, Starwatching Tours, etc.
