The Herbarium at Haleakalā National Park includes the following specimens of Native Hawaiian dryland plants that are proposed for restoration efforts in the Nu'u section of the park. The Nu'u section consists of 4,100 acres in Nu'u Ahupua'a, Kaupo District, acquired by the park in 2008. The park is working to restore the denuded landscape composed of dry forest, grassland and shrubland with native vegetation.(Click on each album to view and download plant specimens)
