On Sunday, November 1, at 2:00 p.m., join a ranger for The Sea Turtles of Gulf Islands. Learn about the seven varieties of sea turtles that swim in Gulf of Mexico waters, some of which nest on our barrier islands. This indoor program meets at the William M. Colmer Visitor Center.

On Sunday, November 8, at 2:00 p.m., join a ranger for Trees in the Forest. This ½ mile walk will teach you how to use leaves, needles, bark, and seeds to identify trees. Meet at the William M. Colmer Visitor Center.

On Sunday, November 15th, at 2:00 p.m., meet at the William M. Colmer Visitor Center for a video program to celebrate Native American Heritage Month.

On Sunday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m., learn the art of cast-netting at Cast for Your Catch. Join a ranger for a discussion of the salt marsh and its marine life and see what you can catch in your net.

On Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., explore the marshes of Davis Bayou with a ranger during the Marsh Discovery Walk. Learn about marsh productivity and food webs, as well as animal and plant adaptations in this challenging environment. Meet at the visitor center to enjoy an easy, one-hour stroll through the park.
