The renovated visitor center with new exhibits is open to the public.
The visitor center is open daily 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Labor Day to Memorial Day weekend, and 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
Rangers are present to assist you.
Restrooms with flush toilets and water are available in the visitor center building lobby during open hours.
New exhibits include highlights of the region's historically diverse cultures, a large diorama depicting park and preserve ecosystems, a night sky video and night life of the dunes exhibit, a 3D model of the valley and geology animation, and a sand-wind interactive. A 20-minute park video is also available.
