Overview

Every year Park Rangers visit classrooms to conduct lessons and activities for students. All programs are based on the Montana State Content Standards and are conducted free of charge. Topics include history, environmental studies, and Indian Education for All.

  • Ranger in a Classroom programs are conducted from November to March.
  • Each program is approximately 45-60 minutes long.
  • Each program is limited to one class per session (up to 35 students).
  • It is preferred to conduct multiple programs per day at a school for scheduling purposes and travel.

Programs listed can be adapted for other grade levels.If you are interested in a topic which is not included in a program listed below, please email us. We create custom programs for schools.
