Work Samples

Artists will submit the following in their application packet:

Photographers: transparencies or digital files (.jpg or .tif) of 6 different images

Media artists: tapes or DVDs of 3 productions, cued, not to exceed 10 minutes total

Visual artists: slides or digital files (.jpg or .tif) of 6 different images

Writers: 4 samples not more than 3 pages each (5 collated copies)

Musicians, composers: CDs or DVDs of 3 compositions not to exceed 10 minutes

Performing artists: tapes or DVDs of 2 or 3 performances not to exceed 10 minutes

Please include a cover sheet (1 copy) with brief information on each submitted piece including as appropriate:

  • Your name
  • Title
  • Media
  • Size of work or length of performance
  • Year created
  • Other pertinent information

All submitted digital files must be PC compatible. If the jury is unable to open the files, the submission will not be considered.

Did You Know?
The more recent Kaibab limestone caprock, on the rims of the Grand Canyon, formed 270 million years ago. In contrast, the oldest rocks within the Inner Gorge at the bottom of Grand Canyon date to 1.84 billion years ago. Geologists currently set the age of Earth at 4.5 billion years.
