Special Ranger Programs - South Rim

Special Fall Ranger Programs begin at 8:30 p.m. Program time is approximately one hour.

When you arrive, ask at the Visitor Center Desk for scheduled Full Moon Walks and Star Talks - it depends upon the weather and how cold it is after dark.

Within the Grand Canyon, the rugged, V-shaped Inner Gorge rises darkly from the Colorado River. The broad shelf above it is the Tonto Platform, which spreads like a green blanket across both sides of the canyon. The Inner Gorge achieves a depth of over 1200 feet (366m)
