Grand Canyon Celebration of Art

This major art show will provide an opportunity for park visitors to see the works of some of the best master artists in the nation as they seek to capture the beauty of the timeless Grand Canyon landscape on canvas.

The South Rim show opens to the public on September 19 and continues through November 1, 2009. Schedule of Events.
  
Everyone is invited -- no admission fee. View the Modern Masters studio work and the Plein Air on the Rim paintings created during the Festival week. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to purchase a priceless piece of art that will forever be a memory of the majestic beauty of Grand Canyon.

Each year, thousands of hikers enter the Grand Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail. They follow a route established by prehistoric people for two key reasons: water and access. Water emerges from springs at Indian Garden, and a fault creates a break in the cliffs, providing access to the springs.
