In 2015, we will open facilities and provide programs 7 days a week.
In addition to the programs listed below, The Trust for Governors Island hosts a wide array of events, activities, and exhibitions on the island. Please visit their website, www.govisland.com, for more information.

Explore Castle Williams The Castle courtyard or parade is open from 10 AM until 4:30 PM.
Castle WilliamTours - lasting about 30 minutes start hourly from 11:30 AM till 3:30 PM. Get some history in the round at the best-preserved circular fortification in the nation.
Get a Junior Ranger Badge - Young Rangers-in-Training can do kid-specific activities and get their very own Junior Ranger badge or visit our Kid's Kart at Castle Williams from 10 AM to 4:30 PM every day.
Our bookstore is closed weekdays through June 12. You can still find top-notch information, Junior Ranger booklets, and to stamp your NPS passport at Castle Williams between 10 AM and 4:30 PM!

Explore Castle Williams - Get up close and personal with one of the earliest and best preserved circular American forts ever built.Take a tour of the roof, see the Statue of Liberty and learn what made this place the Alcatraz of the East!
Castle Williams and its courtyard is open 10 AM to 5:30 PM.
Castle Williams roof tours are 30 minute tours offered each hour at the :30 minute mark starting at 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Free tickets are required.
The Kid's Kart can be found in the Castle Williams from 10 AM to 5:30 PM.
Experience Fort Jay: An Island Star—At the top of the island sits a fortification that has seen nearly as many uses as it has years of completion! From war fort to music school to POW camp to family housing, Fort Jay is the real star of the show!
Fort Jay is open from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Fort Jay tours are 30 min tours offered each hour starting at 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Meet at the Fort Jay moat bridge. Hike Through History—A tour for those that want it all!Our most in-depth tour takes you by many of the highlights of the historic district.Be prepared to walk 1.5 miles over 90 minutes.
