Citizen scientists learn about identifying noxious weeds.

The Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center is dedicated to communicating the relevance of and providing access to research knowledge through a variety of education projects. The CCRLC has developed educational materials for park interpreters, elementary school students, volunteers, citizen scientists and park visitors.

Recent projects include a noxious weed curriculum for elementary school students and a series of resource bulletins designed to assist interpretive rangers in developing programs for park visitors.

Additionally, work is being completed on an invasive plant field guide for the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem (CCE). This guide is intended to assist field staff throughout the CCE in properly identifying, mapping and treating invasive weeds.
