Going-to-the-Sun Road Information

Summer is in full swing on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, but there is still a LOT of snow at Logan Pass. If you are planning to travel the road either by car or bicycle, check the Going-to-the-Sun Road pages first for the latest updates on road conditions, construction activity, and shuttle service.

What's New in the Park?

Summer is here and Glacier's Going-to-the-Sun Road transit system starts on July 3rd. Through Labor Day visitors can take free shuttles to destinations along the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Shuttles run every day between 7am and 7pm.

Climate

Weather in the mountains can be fickle. Visitors may experience temperatures high into the 90s with clear and sunny skies, and then see snow showers and falling temperatures all in the same day.
