- 5th International Lidar Mapping Forum
is being held in Denver next month from Feb 21 - 22, 2008. The event consists of a two day conference, an exhibition consisting of 35 Lidar companies and a workshop series that includes 10 introductory sessions on the basics of Lidar.
- Remote Sensing Applications Conference, April 15-17 in Salt Lake City
This year's conference theme is "Supporting Resource Management with Technology" is cosponsored by Forest Service, BLM and NASA. Abstract deadline is February 15, 2008 and there is no registration fee for this year's conference.

- Society for Conservation GIS Annual Conference
- August 12-15, 2008; Monterey, California
- The SCGIS is a non-profit organization that uses GIS for the conservation of natural resources and cultural heritage.

- October 27-30, 2008; Nashville, Tennessee
- Attendees will discover cutting-edge geospatial intelligence technologies, converse with top leaders in the intelligence community, learn from academia, and network with government, industry, academic, and military leaders.
