Sandy Hook Hours of Operation

Sandy Hook's hours of operation are:

November 1st-March 31st: 6:00am-8:00pm.

April 1st-October 31st: 5:00am-10:00pm.

Sandy Hook Visitor Center

The former Spermaceti Cove Life-Saving Service Station contains exhibits and a bookstore.

Fort Hancock Museum

The former post guardhouse contains exhibits on Fort Hancock.

Weekends 1:00pm-5:00 April-October. Closed for winter.

History House

This 1898 lieutenant's residence along "Officers Row" is furnished to the 1940's.

Sandy Hook Lighthouse 

Tours are given on weekends from Noon to 4:30pm from April thru December 13th.  

From April to October, tours are also given on weekdays from 1:00-4:30pm. Tours are given by volunteers of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society. Sandy Hook Lighthouse Tours are first-come, first-served. Visitors must be at least 48 inches tall to climb the tower. Groups need reservations in advance for a Lighthouse tour. Contact the park Visitor Center at 732-872-5970.

Sandy Hook Lighthouse Keepers Quarters

The Lighthouse Keepers Quarters has exhibits on New Jersey Lighthouses.

Battery Potter

Tour Sandy Hook's oldest gun battery.

Open on weekends April through October. 1:00pm-4:00pm.
