2009 Summer Programs

These programs run through the summer starting June 12, 2009 and run through August 16, 2009.Some programs run through September 7th. Check out our Google Map of the Summer Programs.

Band Concert at Chatham

Sunday, August 30: Fort Lee Army Band plays a mix of patriotic, classical, and popular songs at Chatham. Begins 6:00 PM. Free admission. Guests encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Fredericksburg

Sunken Road Walking Tours: begins outside Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center.

Weekends: 9:25, 10:25, 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, 3:25, and 4:25.

Weekdays: 10:25, 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, 3:25, 4:25.

"War So Terrible: The Key to the Battle"
2 Hour caravan tour. Weekends only at 2:15 PM. Meets at Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center going to Prospect Hill, Tour Stop 6. Recommended to be taken along with the 1:25 Sunken Road walking tour for a comprehensive battlefield tour.

Chatham: Open daily, 9-4:30.

Chancellorsville

"Stonewall" Jackson Wounding Walking Tours: begins outside Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center.

Weekends: 10:25, 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, 3:25, and 4:25.

Weekdays: 10:25, 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, 3:25, and 4:25.

Eyewitness to History--A Dramatic Presentation "His Hero Falls and His Home in Ruin: the David Kyle Story."

Weekends only: 11:05, 12:05, 1:05, 2:05, 3:05, and 4:05.

"Stonewall" Jackson Shrine: Open daily, 9-5.

Old Salem Church: (Starting June 20) Saturdays and Sundays, 3-6.

Wilderness

"No Turning Back" Walking Tours: begins at Wilderness Exhibit Shelter, Tour Stop #2 on the Wilderness Battlefield. Fridays-Sundays at 11:00 and 2:00.

Ellwood: Open Friday-Monday, 11-5.

Spotsylvania

"Bloody Angle" Walking Tours: begins at tour stop #3 The Bloody Angle, on Spotsylvania Battlefield. Daily at 1:00 and 4:00.
