Bookstore at Fort Necessity Interpretive and Education Center
The Fort Necessity/National Road Interpretive and Education Center features an expanded bookstore operated by Eastern National, our Cooperating Association.

The bookstore at the Fort Necessity National Battlefield visitor center is operated by Eastern National. Eastern National is a non-profit tax exempt organization recognized by the U.S. Congress to aid the National Park Service in their mission of education and service. All sales items are approved by the National Park Service. Your purchase helps support interpretation, education, and visitor service programs. Items from this and other National Parks are available at America's National Parks Bookstore.

George Washington’s ally, Seneca chief Tanacharison-also known as The Half King, complained that Washington “was a good-natured man but had no experience.” When referring to the fort the Half King said Washington “made no Fortifications at all, but that little thing upon the Meadow.”
