The Fort Necessity/National Road Interpretive and Education Center features an expanded bookstore operated by Eastern National, our Cooperating Association.

The bookstore at the Fort Necessity National Battlefield visitor center is operated by Eastern National. Eastern National is a non-profit tax exempt organization recognized by the U.S. Congress to aid the National Park Service in their mission of education and service. All sales items are approved by the National Park Service. Your purchase helps support interpretation, education, and visitor service programs. Items from this and other National Parks are available at America's National Parks Bookstore.

Did You Know?
George Washington was not in command of the Virginia Regiment when they left Williamsburg in 1754. Colonel Joshua Frye died after a fall from his horse early in the expedition. Washington received a field promotion from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel and assumed command.
