Getting Around
Begin your visit to the park with a stop at the information desk located in the Visitor Center. The staff will collect entrance fees and provide an orientation to the site's attractions and facilities. The main historic points of interest may be reached via gravel walkways.

Did You Know?
One of the most professional officers to command Fort Davis (1879-81) was Major Napoleon Bonaparte McLaughlen who enlisted as a dragoon (cavalry) private in 1850 and during the Civil War rose to the rank of brevet brigadier general.
