Edison National Historic Site is closed for restoration. With an anticipated 2008 grand reopening, we are looking forward to offering a variety of education programs. We will begin booking the 2008 - 2009 school year programs beginning in September 2008. Check back here for information on what programs will be offered and how to make a reservation for your school.

While we are closed, we do offer curriculum materials, traveling trunks and materials for loan.

Did You Know?
West Orange, NJ, was the birthplace of motion pictures. In 1893, Thomas Edison built the first building for the recording of motion pictures. It was dubbed THE BLACK MARIA. It got its name because it was large and black and looked like the police wagons of the day, which were called black marias.
