Learn more about the park by visiting the Denali Visitor Center located two miles from the park entrance. Talk with park rangers and experience the exhibits at this award-winning facility. View the "Heartbeats of Denali" at the Karstens Theater to experience the four seasons of this special place we call Denali. The Alaska Geographic Association Bookstore and the concession-operated Morino Grill are located in the visitor center campus.

Book sales and bus information are available at the Toklat River Contact Station, mile 53 along the Park Road.
The Talkeetna Ranger Station serves as the base of operations for Denali National Park and Preserve's mountaineering rangers. The highly skilled staff orients mountaineers before they attempt to climb Mount McKinley, Foraker, Hunter and other peaks in the Alaska Range. Interpretive programs, general information and book sales are also available at the ranger station.
Mid April to Labor Day, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. Remainder of the year, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
In the winter, Denali National Park & Preserve does not shut down! The Murie Science and Learning Center serves as the winter visitor center, and is the source of all up-to-date park information.
For most of the winter, the Park Road is maintained up to mile 3, Park Headquaters. In the early fall and late spring, the Park Road is often open for private vehicles, either to mile 15 or mile 30 (depending on the weather). Call 683-2294 for information on the road's status.
