A summer visit to Denali includes a stop at visitor centers, a drive on the Park Road as far as the Savage River, or a shuttle or tour bus deep into the park wilderness.

Most visitors come to the park between mid-May and mid-September. While services are limited in winter, the park is open all year.

In 2010, shuttle buses will operate May 20 to September 16. If you visit earlier in May or later in September, you will want to make plans for a "shoulder season" trip.

The entrance area is where you’ll find most of the amenities of the park. There are the Denali Visitor Center, Wilderness Access Center, Murie Science and Learning Center, Riley Creek Campground, Denali Park Post Office, Riley Creek Mercantile, Railroad Depot, and trailheads.
