General Management Plans (GMPs) and Foundation Documents provide parks with direction for managing resource preservation and visitor use for 15 to 20 years. Crater Lake most recently completed a GMP in 2005 and a Foundation Document in 2015.
The 2005 General Management Plan is not currently available for download, but the 2015 Foundation Document (3.9 MB PDF) is.
To learn about specific projects happening in the park, visit the National Park Service's PEPC (Planning, Environment, and Public Comment) website. You can view planning documents and (at certain times) provide input on them.
