Country roads suitable for bicycling and motorcycling are found throughout the region, although there are no road shoulders suitable for the cyclist's safety. When bicycling down rural heritage trail roadways exercise extreme caution due to narrow roads and speeding traffic. Enjoy a drive along National Heritage Area Trail from Natchitoches National Historic Landmark District through the rural farmlands along the banks of Cane River Lake just remember to exercise caution and be alert for farm machinery. Safety First!
