Management

The Purpose of City of Rocks National Reserve is to preserve and protect through cooperative efforts the scenic qualities and attributes of the California Trail landscape, historic rural setting, and granite features, while interpreting its values and managing recreation.

 

Many of the links from this management page will provide a first-hand look at the documents that guide us in achieving the purpose.  Read the enabling legislation that created the Reserve, or become familiar with the climbing management plan and recent public involvement.  Visit often and read about your government at work.
