Chickasaw National Recreation Area invites you and your students to attend ranger-led education programs. Our programs integrate interpretive themes at Chickasaw NRA with curriculum requirements of the surrounding school districts, with special emphasis on the natural and cultural resources of the park. Programs given in the park and In-class programs vary length. Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance.

Did You Know?
In 1904 Forest Townsley was appointed the first park ranger in Platt National Park [the Platt Historic District in today's Chickasaw National Recreation Area]. Townsley's son John later served as Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park from 1975 to 1982.
