Start your visit to the park at the Hewlett Lodge Visitor Center located in the Island Ford unit in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Here you will be able to obtain a Park Pass or an America the Beautiful Pass. View the exhibits about the park and pick up the free Junior Ranger Books and hiking maps and get all your questions about the park answered by the park ranger on duty. And don't forget to pick up a souvenir or two from the Eastern bookstore. To find the Island Ford Visitor Center enter the physical address listed below into your GPS unit or your favorite map software. Physical Address Once you have arrived at 8800 Roberts Drive turn onto Island Ford Parkway at the large Island Ford entrance sign. Follow the signs to the Park Headquarters where the visitor center is located. This includes all parking lots in the park. Park closures will be reassessed in two weeks. Visitors are encouraged to follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Georgia Department of Public Health guidelines for public spaces related to COVID-19.
