Operating Hours & Seasons

All visitor facilities are closed from October 12, 2009 (Columbus Day) through late May 2010.  The Cedar Breaks Scenic Drive remains open to vehicles (<26,000 GVWR) until snow and heavy drifting occur.  Heavy snow normally begins anywhere from late October to early December and lasting into May.  Please call 435-586-9451 to check the status of the road before traveling to Cedar Breaks during this time.  (Always plan and prepare alternate routes in case of inclement weather.)  Winter recreational activities begin once there is sufficient snow depth for cross-country ski, snowshoe, and snowmobile trails.
