The Zion National Park Forever Project is the official nonprofit partner of Cedar Breaks National Monument. Their mission is to provide strategic investment in natural and cultural resource preservation and protection, ensuring exemplary guest experiences, delivering educational programs empowering the next generations of park stewards, and working towards a sustainable future. Tracing their origins to 1929, they provide financial and in-kind aid to the park through fundraising, the operation of bookstores in visitor centers within the parks, and by providing excellent educational opportunities through field programs, courses and lectures. Southern Utah University, through the Intergovernmental Internship Cooperative (IIC), partners with Cedar Breaks National Monument as well as other federal and state land management agencies and American Indian Tribes of southern Utah, northern Arizona and eastern Nevada. Together, we develop challenging internship opportunities for students from most degree programs and in a diversity of exciting professional fields. Mentors provide "real world" work experience for interns to complement their academic pursuits and help prepare them for a successful career. |
