Support Your Park

Here are just a few important ways you can help support Canaveral National Seashore:

While visiting - please follow the park guidelines outlined on the blue card you receive at the entrance station.

Bookstore - Our bookstore, located in the visitor center at Apollo Beach, offers many exciting and informative souvenir items which will enhance your experience and provide a tangible record of your visit. Because the park receives a percentage of the profits from the sales of these items, your patronage is an excellent way to support our efforts.

Volunteer
- Of course, there's no better way to help out than to pitch in. For more information on the volunteer program, please contact Ranger Laura Henning.

National Public Lands Day - September 26, 2009

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve America's public lands. This year, Canaveral National Seashore, along with the entire National Park Service, is participating in this volunteer effort in conjuction with the release of the new Ken Burns' documentary, "The National Parks: America's Best Idea," premiering on Public Broadcast stations throughout the country on September 27, 2009. These events will expose the nation to the rich heritage and beauty represented by America's national parks.

With volunteers from USA-Space Corporation (contractors of NASA), Canaveral National Seashore will be working to clean up 6 miles of Playalinda Beach. For further information on this event, contact Laura Henning, Chief of Interpretive Services, at (386) 428-3384.
