All Buck Island Reef concessionaires are able to teach anyone, especially kids, how to snorkel, and enjoy and explore the underwater world. The coral reef that surrounds the eastern two-thirds of the island creates a safe and quiet lagoon, with normally calm waters. On most days the water in the park is crystal clear, and when behind the barrier reef is typically calm. Kids of all ages are encouraged to experience their own undersea adventure at Buck Island Reef National Monument.
