The mission of the Bryce Canyon Archives mirrors that of the National Park Service—to protect and preserve the park’s resources for the enjoyment and education of current and future generations. The Bryce Canyon Archives document the history of the park, from the beginning of the parks founding in 1928 to the present day. Park records document how the national park idea developed after Bryce Canyon’s establishment, how policies for managing the park were developed, and how they continue to develop today. Archival materials in the collections span cultural and natural histories and include maps, photographs, manuscripts, films, oral histories, and paper records. Finding AidsThe National Park Service is reorganizing the Zion Archives. We will share new finding aids when the reorganization is done. Please email us with any collections related questions. HoursMonday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
