Winter splendor at Big Hole National Battlefield.

The Battlefield is open seven days a week. The park's hours are:

Summer: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Fall: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Winter/Spring: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Fall hours begin August 21.

In addition the Park is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.

Chief Looking Glass was one of five Band Leaders who fought in the 1877 War with Husis Kute, Joseph, Tulhuulhulsuit and White Bird.
