Deaf / Hearing Loss

Bandelier National Monument is generally accessible for individuals who are hearing impaired. Information panels are available on some trails. Trail guides for the Pueblo Loop Trail and Falls Trail are available at the park store. The park film entitled This Place Knows Us can be viewed in the theater. Captions and assistive listening devices are available. The park film can also be viewed here.

Service animals are allowed in all facilities and on all trails at Bandelier National Monument. Please check the website for closures. The Pueblo Loop Trail and Alcove House have ladders, which may prove difficult and unsafe for a a service animal.

Please contact the park with a request for an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter at least one week in advance of your visit.
