Adams National Historical Park is located in Quincy, approximately 10 miles south of Boston. The park comprises 11 historic structures and a cultural landscape totaling almost 14 acres. The site's main historic features include: the John Adams Birthplace, where the 2nd U.S. President was born on October 30, 1735; the John Quincy Adams Birthplace, less than 75 yards away, where the 6th U.S. President was born on July 11, 1767; the "Old House," home to four generations of the Adams family; and the Stone Library, which contains more than 14,000 historic volumes and includes the book collection of John Quincy Adams.
Transit Directions: 
From Boston, take the outbound MBTA Red Line train towards Braintree to Quincy Center Station. Turn right upon exiting the train and at the top of the stairs, turn left and exit the station to Hancock Street. Walk across Hancock Street to 1250 Hancock Street. The Adams NHP Visitor Center is located in the Galleria at President's place.
Driving Directions: 
From Boston (via I-93) and MA-128 from the North:
1. From I-93 or MA-128 southbound, take Exit #7 (“Route 3 South to Braintree and Cape Cod”).
2. Take the first exit off MA-3 south - Exit #18 (“Washington Street and the Quincy Adams T”) and take the left fork towards Quincy Center.
3. Exit onto Burgin Parkway and continue straight through six sets of traffic lights.
4. At the seventh set of traffic lights, turn right onto Dimmock Street, and follow Dimmock Street one block to the intersection of Hancock Street.
5. Turn right onto Hancock Street. The National Park Service Visitor Center, located in the Galleria at President's Place is two blocks ahead on your left, 1250 Hancock Street.
From Cape Cod and Points South:
1. From MA-3 northbound, take Exit #19 (“Quincy Center”).
2. Exit onto Burgin Parkway and continue through six sets of traffic lights.
3. At the seventh set of traffic lights, turn right on to Dimmock Street, and follow Dimmock Street one block to the intersection of Hancock Street.
4. Turn right on to Hancock Street. The National Park Service Visitor Center located in the Galleria at Presidents Place is two blocks on your left, 1250 Hancock Street.
Validated parking is in the garage in the rear of the building; turn left just before the building.
Ranger Tips:
Tours of the historic homes begin on the half hour, and tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to pick up a calendar of events to learn about the host of fun and informative family programs that are offered throughout the year.
Travel Tips:
At the Visitor Center at 1250 Hancock Street in Quincy, you will find free parking and can catch a ride on the Adams Trolley to the historic houses.
