Description:
Preserves the 1917 birthplace and boyhood home of John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States. The modest frame house in suburban Boston was also the first home shared by the President's father and mother, Joseph P. and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, and represents the social and political beginnings of one of the world's most prominent families.
Transit Directions: 
From Park Street station in Boston, take the Green Line ("C" - Cleveland Circle). Exit at the intersection of Beacon and Harvard Streets (Coolidge Corner). From the train, cross to the near side of Beacon Street (towards the CVS store on the corner) and walk four blocks north up Harvard Street. Turn right onto Beals Street and proceed to #83.
Driving Directions: 
From Downtown Boston and Points East:
1. From the area of the Boston Common, drive west on Beacon Street or Commonwealth Avenue (away from downtown, through Back Bay).
2. At the intersection of Beacon and Commonwealth (Kenmore Square), take the “center” road of the 3-way fork to continue west on Beacon Street.
3. Drive approx. 2 miles on Beacon Street, to the intersection with Harvard Street (Coolidge Corner).
4. Turn right onto Harvard Street.
5. After 4 blocks, turn right onto Beals street, and continue to 83 Beals Street on the right.
From the West:
1. From I-90 (Mass. Turnpike), take Exit #18 on the left toward Allston/Brighton.
2. From the Allston/Brighton off-ramp, merge onto Cambridge Street and drive for 0.75 miles.
3. At second stoplight, turn left onto Harvard Street. Follow 0.75 miles across a major intersection with Brighton Avenue, and across another major intersection with Commonwealth Avenue.
4. After several blocks, turn left onto Beals Street, and continue to 83 Beals Street on the right.
From the North or South:
1. From I-95/MA-128, take Exit #20 (“MA-9/Brookline East”).
2. Follow MA-9 (Boylston Street) east approx. 5 miles.
3. Follow signs for Harvard Street and drive north on Harvard Street approx. 1 mile.
Continue on Harvard Street across the major intersection with Beacon Street (Coolidge Corner) and drive four blocks to Beals Street.
4. Turn right onto Beals Street, and continue to 83 Beals Street on the right.
No on-site parking; limited on-street parking is available (2 hour limit).
Ranger Tips:
Tours are offered every 30 minutes and are limited to 12 people.
