Appalachian National Scenic Trail    

Extends approximately 2,170 miles through 14 states between Georgia and Maine. Massachusetts hosts 90 miles of the trail through the Berkshires.

Springfield Armory National Historic Site    

Founded by General George Washington, this was the nation’s first armory, producing firearms from 1794 to 1968. Today it houses the world’s second-largest firearms collection in its museum.
