Summary | Natural and cultural history artifacts, specimens, and archival documents pertaining to the management of the park and the maritime and settlement history of the Cranberry Isles and Mount Desert Island Region. The park maintains two museums (Islesford Historical Museum and Sieur de Monts Nature Center) and a research center (William Otis Sawtelle Collections and Research Center). Special collections include: the Cranberry Isles Collection, William Otis Sawtelle Collection, Carroll Homestead Collection, Harold B. White Odonata Collection, William H. Procter Invertebrate Collection, Acadia Herbarium Collection, Ralph (Bud) H. Long Collection, and Acadia Park Records. |
