Going-to-the-Sun Road Plowing Information

Plowing Activity for May 28 , 2015
Plowing on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, and other park roads, has begun. We will post updates here to keep you informed of the progress.

West Lakes Road Crew
The West Lakes Road Crew is continuing to work on plowing the Big Drift and shoveling snow around the Logan Pass Visitor Center. They are also installing log guard rails in the Haystack Creek area, continuing road clean up, and pushing back snow to clear the road for two lanes of traffic.

Hudson Bay Road Crew
The Hudson Bay Road Crew is working on snow removal through the Big Drift, and has connected with the West Lakes Road Crew.

Projected Work Activity
West Lakes Road Crew
West Lakes Roads will continue to installing log guard rails, pushing back snow to clear the road for two lanes of traffic, and shoveling snow around the Visitor Center.

Hudson Bay Road Crew
The East Side Road Crew will continue clearing snow for in the Big Drift area and installing log guard rails along the road.
