Parks Work To Protect Endangered Goby
More than 170 endangered tidewater gobies from the Gicaomini Wetlands were transplanted by biologists from Point Reyes and Golden Gate to adjacent Tomales Bay State Park last month in an effort to expand the population of this highly vulnerable species.

Grand Canyon National Park held a Climate Friendly Parks (CFP) workshop in mid-October. The CFP program assists national parks with management tools and resources to address climate change, both within park boundaries and the surrounding community. A listing of upcoming training courses offered by the NPS and its partners across the nation. Added to this week’s listing are the following – two offerings of command and general staff training for incident management teams (Shepherdstown and Albuquerque), two more offerings of Fundamentals II at the Grand Canyon this spring, an EMT-B refresher at Pinnacles next month, a webinar on Monday on the R statistical package, firearms instructor training at FLETC, and a number of new and upcoming TEL station training courses, ranging from law enforcement refreshers to retirement training.
