Jim Sherald, chief of natural resources and science for National Capital Region, will retire in January after a 35-year career with the National Park Service. A retirement scrapbook is being assembled; if you have photos, letters or stories to contribute, please email them by November 11th to Diane_Pavek@nps.gov or mail them to Diane Pavek, NPS Center for Urban Ecology, 4598 MacArthur Blvd, NW, Washington, DC 20007.
