The Visitor Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of closures on  Federal Holidays during the winter:

Closed on - Thanksgiving, *Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years, Presidents Day and Martin Luther King Day.  

   

Please allow at least 3 - 4 hours to visit the historical village.

General Custer Receiving the Flag of Truce  

Did You Know?
General George Armstrong Custer, of Little Bighorn fame, received the flag of truce at Appomattox Court House that brought about a cessation of hostilities leading to the surrender meeting between Lee and Grant. *Original Truce Flag exhibited at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park.
