The Visitor Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of closures on  Federal Holidays during the winter:

Closed on - ThanksgivingChristmas Day, New Years, Presidents Day and Martin Luther King Day.  

   

Please allow at least 3 - 4 hours to visit the historical village.

Did You Know?
The formal copy of Grant's surrender terms was written out by Ely Parker, a Native American. Lee remarked to Parker, “I am glad to see one real American here.” Parker later stated, “I shook his hand and said, We are all Americans.” Parker's library is in the Appomattox Court House NHP collection.
