Few people go to remote Aniakchak National Monument and Preserve. Its acres are among the least visited in the National Park System. Notoriously bad weather combines with costly and unpredictable access to discourage most potential visitors. Although the unit is hard to get to, it offers spectacular scenic vistas and examples of geologic and hydrologic activity. |
