Notice: The Birthplace Memorial Building will be closed beginning September 28, 2009 for major renovations.  Anticipated reopening of the Memorial Building is the Spring of 2010, exact date currently unknown.  The park will remain open for visitation during the renovations.  For additional information you may call 270.358.3137 

Utilizing the Plan Your Visit section of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park web page allows for a comprehensive view of the park and can assist in the planning and allocation of time to be spent at the park.

The park offers a variety of activities for visitors. Careful examination of this section can furnish all the information needed to successfully plan and complete a visit to the park. By accessing the various headings listed under Plan Your Visit it is possible to retrieve directions to the park, park hours of operation, park fees and reservation requirements, things to do at the park, as well as information needed by the visitor prior to arriving at the park. This information includes getting around the park, park safety tips, and park policies pertaining to pets and picnicking, and handicap accessibility.

Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) was a part of the Lincoln Farm Association Board of Trustees. There were 28 board members total. Some other prominent figures on the board included Ida Tarbell, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Richard Lloyd Jones, and Robert Collier.
